Skid Steers Ain’t Cheap

Everyone knows by now how useful skid steers are. They can be used for almost any task that requires lifting heavy weights or carrying things. They are agile and small enough to be used in tight spaces. All of this, plus more, adds to the value of a skid steer. It’s no wonder skid steers have a premium price. Whether buying a new skid steer, a used skid steer, or even renting one, expect to pay a hefty amount.

The price of the skid steer has made it one of the favorite things that thieves steal in a construction yard. For example, a construction yard in Steinbach was robbed by thieves. Three items were stolen, among them is a 2008 New Holland C157 skid steer. The Steinbach authorities have already released a public notice about the theft and are requesting anyone with information on the whereabouts of the stolen items to contact them immediately.

Another example that skid steers ain’t cheap was when Case auctioned off a limited edition skid steer for the benefit of a charity. The Case skid steer, which was called “Red Power,” was auctioned for the benefit of the FFA (Future Farmers of America), and a person bid $77,000 for it. This means that $77,000 went to the FFA foundation!

Even if skid steers ain’t cheap, they are still some of the most versatile pieces of equipment available. A skid steer may not be as powerful as its heavier cousins, but it can do much more than other heavy equipment. It can be used for lawn work, construction work, farm work, and more. The price of the skid steer is certainly justified by all the work it can do.
